Welcome to Hometown Heritage and Arts, Inc.

We are a non-profit corporation registered in the State of Ohio and have received our 501(c)3 designation from the IRS. Our purpose is to promote the arts and humanities of Leipsic and the surrounding area.  We are striving to preserve and promote our artistic culture and cultural heritage.
     
    Leipsic, Ohio needs a venue for creative expression. The citizens of Leipsic are amazingly creative, artistic and talented.  Leipsic's culture is rich and diverse. In spite of all this native talent and ingenuity, there is no public venue for personal expression.
     While it might seem that we are trying to encompass a lot in our mission - the reality is that we are simply striving to improve our quality of life by enriching ourselves and our community with personal creative expression, both in the arts and the humanities.

Our goals for the future are:

1. Develop summer art programs for youth
2. Plan and execute a yearly art show for adults.
3. Plan and execute a yearly photography show for adults
4. Establish an Art League
5. Establish a community "art space" working studio for the residents of the community
6. Maintain a community art gallery, with regularly rotating exhibits
7. Maintain a permanent community gallery with local historical photos and memorabilia on display. 
8. Long-term goal - establish a permanent facility to house all cultural activities of the community. This would include galleries, working art studio for classes, performing arts venue and a heritage gallery.

What We are Doing!

Even though we are a new organization in February of 2007 we are already starting to accomplish our goals.

1. We maintain the web-site for Leipsic's Sesquicentennial efforts www.leipsic.net

2. We co-sponsor with the Sesquicentennial committee, the monthly Leipsic Memories session held at Leipsic Retirement Village.

3. We are making plans to sponsor an area art show during the Sesquicentennial celebration over Labor Day of this year.

4. We will sponsor an historical photo show early summer in Leipsic.

We are also in need of donations for our programming. All our work is volunteer, all donations will go for actual programming. All donations are tax deductible.
